It seems even truer when you apply that saying to our business. The tools seem to be in a constant state of change, but the people remain the same. At MPS they're professional and personable.
Janet Riley is a founder, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of MPS. In reality, these titles do not begin to describe all of Janet's responsibilities. She oversees all day to day activities at the office. She can normally be reached at the office from 7am to 7pm six days a week. She, and her son Eric, have been business partners since they first began E.R. Productions in September of 1987. Janet's background includes experience as an On Air radio personality, Newspaper Editor, Co-founder of a UHF Television Station and Post Production office manager. She was born in Maryland and is married to Mike Riley.
Mike Garner began working full-time for MPS in September of 1997, but has worked with us as a freelancer as far back as 1990. He is a Graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and holds a degree in broadcast journalism. Mike travels with Mobile Unit #1 as EIC.
Mike is happily married.
Todd Marvin is the Head of Maintenance for MPS. Todd has been with MPS since 2000 and has been in the television industry since 1981. Jib Op extrordinaire, he is one of the best in the country with more than 18 years experience. Spanning the globe, Todd has done 2 tours in Isreal as well as El Salvadore, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas & all over the USA.
Todd is happily married.
Francis Boring is the voice you hear when you call the office. He's the Secretary/Receptionist, Gofer/Runner, Equipment Coordinator, Travel Agent,
handles Truck Logistics, updates the website, some-time Camera Op, Crew Chief/Tech
Manager & Utility. He's been with MPS since 2000 and 2 years part-time before that. He has 3 years experience in radio as an on-air personality as well as doing voice-overs for a number of years.
Bob Bloomfield is a driver with Mobile Unit 2. He has been with the company since 1999, after retiring from OTR trucking with more than 50 years experience.
Bob's married and has children & grandchildren all over the country.
Eric "Remote" Riley is founder and president of MPS. Eric obtained his 1st class FCC RadioTelephone Operator License in July of 1980. He was nominated for a regional Emmy in 1985 for Editor-Non News and received a regional Emmy in 1992 for Live Event Technical Directing. During his career Eric has been, Cameraman, Editor, Studio Manager, Operations Manager, Videotape Operator, Shader, EIC, Technical Director, Director and Producer. He is EIC for Mobile Unit #4 and goes wherever he is needed.
Matt Levin is EIC for Mobile Unit #2 and has been with us for 5 years.
Matt has worked extensively in TV and Radio for years as EIC and on-air
personality on the radio. EIC/IT Administrator for a local radio
station means he can fix it all. When not working, you can find
Matt with his wife, 2 boys and their horses.
Jason Knapp is
EIC and driver for Mobile Unit # 3 starting in 2009. Jason is an SBE
certified Senior Broadcast Engineer with over 15 years experience in
Radio and TV. When he is not here or at his normal job at a local TV
station, Jason spends his time with his wife and three kids or on his
motorcycle.
Brandon Richards is a driver with Mobile Unit 1 and has been driving professionally for 20 years. He's been with us for almost 2. Brandon is quick to assist you in anyway he can. He's married and has 2 kids.
Other Faces You Will see.......
Dave Brainard is co-EIC for Mobile Unit #4. He has over 30
years experience in television production and has done it all from
lights to audio to camera to producing and directing as well as EIC.
Dave is comfortable in any production atmosphere whether it's Sports or
Gospel or Corporate.
Les Bartell has worked extensively as a crew person on all of the
Mobile Unit's 1, 2 & 3 since 1995 and has been a standby EIC on
them as well. He started his career as a video operator, shading
cameras for a variety of corporate events as well as major college and
professional sports.
